DIRTY DU

The Des Moines Dirty Duathlon is Central Iowa Trails Association's annual mountain biking/trail running race held at Center Trails at Greenwood Park in Des Moines, Iowa.

100% of the proceeds go towards maintaining and building local singletrack trails in the Des Moines Metro.

THE COURSE & LOCATION

Location: Center Trails at Greenwood Park

The Course: Incorporating professionally built singletrack throughout Greenwood Park in Des Moines, the course takes you through an old growth forest, including super fun, flowy downhill, a creek crossing, and plenty of lung-busting climbing.

Start and Finish is typically near the Jay Spence Shelter at Greenwood Park near Bergman Academy.

Packet Pickup:
7 - 9 a.m. – Packet pick-up at Jay Spence Shelter .

No day-of registration.

Race Day:

9:50 – Duathlon racer meeting at the start line

10:00 – Duathlon (Solo and Relay) start

11:30 – Kid’s Duathlon Race – FREE!

11:30 – Pizza delivered for the racers and volunteers
11:45 – Awards for the Duathlon

HOW IT WORKS

Trail Run, Mountain Bike or do both:

Dirty Du (Solo or Relay) 1 lap of 3 miles trail run, then 2 laps of about 6 miles mountain bike.
Juniors Places awarded for top finishers.
Kids Race | 1 lap run or 1 lap bike on designated kids course

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

All hands on deck! We need volunteers!
We are using Golden Volunteer this year to register volunteers. There are 11 different shifts/roles to choose from.
