YOUR DIRT TRAIL ADVOCATES
CITA is a 100% volunteer-led organization and IMBA chapter, working with local land managers to maintain singletrack for mountain biking in the Des Moines area. All of the trail work is possible because of CITA's passionate volunteers, members, and longstanding community support.
DISCOVER THE TRAILS
Our singletrack trails are located in city, county, and state parks in and around Des Moines and Central Iowa. They are designed for mountain biking, but also allow for running, and hiking.
RIDE DIRT. NOT MUD.
Learn about the rules of the trails and don’t forget to check out the singletrack trail status before heading out.
LOG YOUR VOLUNTEER HOURS
Volunteer hours help with grant and fundraising requests! If you spend time during a ride trimming the trail, picking up trash, clearing debris, etc. make sure to log your hours!
SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL TRAILS.
We rely on our CITA (IMBA Chapter) membership, donations, sponsorships, and volunteers to help keep things rocking. If you're an avid trail user, consider becoming a CITA Member for $39.

Ride with Us.
Join us weekly starting in spring as we tour rotating schedule between Center Trails, Sycamore Trail and Ewing Park. It's a fantastic opportunity to learn your way around "back there" and explore the green heart of urban Des Moines.
Afterwards, plan to stick around and hang out for drinks socializing.
