Goldsprints membership event at Mars Cafe
Saturday, March 27, 2010 from 7 to 10 pm

How fast can you cover 500m? Find out during Capital City Sprints‘ head-to-head fixed roller racing.

Pay your $20 CITA membership fee and race from 7 to 10 p.m. We’ll crown a men’s and woman’s champion. We will also be hosting a team challenge. The total from the top 4 riders from your team will be totalled; fastest combined time wins. More here.

Iowa Bicycle Summit 2010Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010

  • The 2010 Iowa Bicycle Summit is sponsored by the Iowa Department of Transportation and the Iowa Bicycle Coalition.
  • The Friday Bicycle Facility Design Workshop will feature information on urban non-motorized transportation, urban trails, waterfront redevelopment, open space planning, and community revitalization.
  • The Saturday Workshop is geared towards grassroots bicyclists who want to better their communities.
  • The 2010 Iowa Bicycle Summit has become bigger and better than ever. The Iowa Bicycle Summit still features great presentations on the best practices in bicycle advocacy, but new this year is an expanded format, RAGBRAI’s Ride Right sessions, and a new location at the Iowa Events Center. The Summit is dedicated to producing low-cost and accessible education to build better communities.
