Results are now available for the open/relay and beginner categories.
In addition to our top finishers, notable results include Des Moines Park & Rec staff (and their spouses) breaking the seal on the beginner relay category (watch for this in 2010!), 11-year-old Austin Carter finishing the beginner event in less than an hour, Bill and Katherine Fanter finishing first among married relay couples and Teri Pottorff and Elaine Kay representing the solo women very well.
Thanks again to our sponsors, volunteers, racers and spectators. Thanks especially to Brian Palmer and the Capital Striders for their continued partnership. This event continues to succeed because you all support it.
And while we can’t promise good weather, there will be bathrooms available next year!

I’m going to try the relay next time, I can’t wait until next year!
Thanks to CITA and all their dedicated volunteers! Trails like these are not built or maintained by themselves. Giving runners and bikers the opportunity to get outside and off the paved trails is welcome relief to everyday life in the capital city!
GREAT JOB Ryan, Capital Striders and volunteers, much appreciation. Are there any pictures anywhere?
